Alive is a pretty compelling film about the true story of a South American rugby team stranded for 72 days in the Andes mountains after their plane crashes.
I liked the discussions that arose regarding the possability of resorting to cannibalism as their only means of survival. Unfortunately, aside from that there wasn't a whole lot in terms of memorable character development or interesting dialogue.
The aspect I enjoyed most, however, is the fact that the film focuses solely on the stranded rugby team. There are no scenes involving the search-and-rescue operation, nor anything to do with worried family members back at home. In a way, this serves to reinforce the sense of isolation that must've been felt by the rugby team, and it emphasises the moments of despair -- as well as the moments of triumph -- that they experienced.
