I was more than a little disappointed with this movie. I picked it up hoping that it would offer some interesting insights into what made Charlie Chaplin tick and how, exactly, he went about making the movies that he did. Instead, the filmmakers seemed to be trying to cram in as many points about Chaplin's life as they possibly could, and as such, they all came across as very superficial and superfluous (heh, Super!). Also, the flashback style in which the story is told was handled rather clumsily, and was, I think, unnecessary.
Robert Downey Jr. as Charlie Chaplin, however, was really good.
