Maybe I was just in a particularly good mood at the time, but I really enjoyed Adam Sandler's Mr. Deeds (I haven't seen the original, so I'm not going to try to make any sort of comparison).
Anyway, this is a very simplistic story, but I didn't feel that that was much of a problem in this movie. Adam Sandler comes across as really likeable, and I was pleased that he didn't show off too much of the "mean-spiritedness" that I've heard about with regards to a lot of his performances (the sort of thing that was so amazingly 'deconstructed' in P.T. Anderson's Punch Drunk Love).
Mr. Deeds had more than enough quirky, silly humour (often the best type!) to keep me entertained, and I guess it's safe to say that I look forward to finally watching some of Adam Sandler's other movies.
If you wrote an article about life we'd all reach enlgitehnmnet.
Going to post Week 13 lines mlanauly shortly – Las Vegas Hilton having some technical difficulties obviously.
