The Wedding Singer is one of those movies I don't necessarily feel like writing a whole lot about. I enjoyed it. Adam Sandler is quite good (as he often can be with the right script) in the title role of a wedding singer who is great at his job, but is stood-up at the alter of his own wedding and comes to wish his talents lied in another profession. Drew Barrymore is very nice as the wedding-banquet waitress with a jerk of a fiancée, who slowly comes to develop feelings for the downtrodden Sandler. There is some good humour in the movie, and as corny as it might sound, it's very sweet. The movie itself avoids being corny, however, which is always nice in a romantic comedy.
Honestly I can't say much more than that. It's not a standout in the genre, but it is quite a bit better than a lot of other romantic comedies.
